US: Construction firm ST Wooten has acquired Pennsylvania-based Capital Ready Mix Concrete. The Courier-Tribune newspaper has reported that the producer operates four ready-mix concrete batching plants in Pittsburgh.
Alcrete acquires Benton Precast
US: Precast concrete group Alcrete has acquired South Carolina-based Benton Precast. Benton Precast occupies a 6.9-hectare precast concrete production site near Conway, South Carolina.
Alcrete says that the move represents its third acquisition in 2024 to date. The group already operates precast plants in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and North Carolina.

UAE: China-based ReTo Eco-Solutions has entered into talks with a prospective customer for the supply of its RT18A automated concrete block production unit. The journal of engineering has reported the expected value of the contract as US$2m.
Abdullah Abdin Ready-Mix Concrete achieves Concrete Sustainability Council certification
Saudi Arabia: Abdullah Abdin Ready-Mix Concrete has gained certification for its products from the Concrete Sustainability Council. The company says that it is the first ready-mix concrete in the Middle East-North Africa region to do so. The company hosted an award ceremony to mark the occasion at its site in Sharma, NEOM.
