India: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) demolished structures at six ready-mix concrete batching plants in Dhayari in Maharashtra’s Pune district on 28 October 2026. The Times of India newspaper has reported that the demolition drive followed pollution-related complaints.
The Pune Ready Mix Concrete Association has accused the PMC of failing to deliver a standard operating procedure (SOP) for batching plants in Dhayari in a timely manner.
