UK: Holcim UK plans to close its Leighton Buzzard concrete products plant in Bedfordshire by the end of 2027. Local press has reported that production may gradually reduce throughout 2026. The company will hold consultations with 30 affected workers. It plans to sell the Leighton Buzzard site to a property development company.

Holcim UK plans to restructure part of its Concrete Products division for greater ‘efficiency and growth.’ Under the plans, Holcim UK will establish a new ‘super site’ for its landscaping products operations at an existing company location. The new site will serve domestic and export markets with an expanded range of products, according to the company.
