South Korea: Three people have died after carrying out cleaning work in a chemical admixture storage silo at a ready-mix concrete plant in Suncheon on 21 August 2025. Korea JoongAng Daily has reported that a 57-year-old and a 53-year-old died at the scene, while a 60-year-old, who also collapsed, died while receiving treatment in hospital. Police are reportedly investigating whether the ready-mix producer negligently exposed the victims to hydrogen sulphide gas.
