Romania: DVI Production has inaugurated a new €40m, 2000m³ autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block plant in Iernut, Mureș County. The plant will produce Fortem brand blocks and serve local and export markets, employing a staff of 100 people. Economica and Puterea News has reported that the company received a €10m grant towards the project. It is the largest plant of its kind in Europe.
CEO Viorel Iacob said that the plant is expected to help DVI Production become regional market leader in AAC blocks.
