UK: CRH subsidiary Tarmac has partnered with sensors specialist Converge to launch predictive AI-enhanced sensors for use in concrete mix optimisation. The equipment can reduce reliance on traditional cube testing, helping to shorten construction timelines. The sensors are available to all Tarmac customers.
Tarmac ready-mix concrete head Andrew Campling said "This new partnership with Converge means we can offer even more innovations to customers as part of our lower carbon CEVO concrete brand. Alongside other solutions, including our new online carbon calculator and the easy-to-use CEVO rating system, we're providing our customers with the tools to help them reduce carbon on construction projects."
Converge CEO Raphael Scheps said "The pairing of CEVO with Converge's sensors and AI technology is a perfect match for concrete decarbonisation. ACC launches ACC ECOMaxX ready-mix concrete
03 January 2023India: Adani Group subsidiary ACC has announced the launch of its new ACC ECOMaxX range of reduced-CO2 ready-mix concrete products in Mumbai and other markets. The range offers a 30 – 100% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to ordinary Portland cement (OPC)-based options. ACC developed the range using its own technology. Its aim is to help builders, developers, designers and renovators meet their sustainable construction needs.
Oscrete commissions expanded concrete laboratory
29 April 2022UK: Oscrete has doubled its laboratory footprint after carrying out an expansion at its concrete laboratory. The upgrade consists of a new wet production area and New Product Development area. The additives producer said that it plans to use the increased space for on-site customer training. The company says that it is now on a ‘recruitment drive’ to develop its concrete technician team.
Technical and development manager Dean Clarke said “Expanding our lab is a key objective following our move into independence at the start of 2022, so we are delighted to now have more capacity, increased product innovation and the resulting need to develop our team. He continued “We are a company committed to delivering and problem solving for our customers, particularly during these exceptionally challenging times of supply chain disruption.”
ACC launches Concrete Direct delivery app
01 April 2022India: ACC has launched its new Concrete Direct app for booking and live tracking concrete deliveries. The producer says that the app reduces operational follow-up calls.
Managing director and CEO Sridhar Balakrishnan said “At ACC, we recognise the need to improve and lead through digitalisation. We are happy to launch Concrete Direct, a premium digital tool that saves time and money for our customers. With such innovations, we want to enhance customer experience and build a strong ecosystem of partners to support them.”
